March 13

Today I write a loving note to someone else
I arise this morning and see the beauty in this day. I bring to mind someone that I care about. I remember that I am loving and I am loved. I appreciate the richness of my relationships and see the potential of the day inviting me to express life and love. So, I make time to sit down, take out my pen, and write a note expressing my gratitude and joy. These words I share bring delight to another. As I share this message of love and peace with someone else, I share it with myself. As I enrich another person’s life, I enrich my own. Thank you God, that I am loving and I am loved. Thank you for loving thoughts and words. Today, I share by writing a loving note to someone else.

Today I offer peaceful words and actions
This day I choose to live in peace. I put God’s peace first and foremost in my mind. These thoughts are the fertile ground from which my words and actions today spring. So it is easy and natural for me to offer peaceful words and actions to others. As I offer myself to those around me in the world today, I feel relationships shift to a higher level of connectedness and peace. This peace travels one-by-one through the world as a soothing, healing balm, calming minds in turmoil and embracing all with the quiet peace that comes directly from God. I look upon the web of my life with renewed appreciation that I am an instrument of God’s peace, lifting burdens and easing the fears of those around me. Today, I offer peaceful words and actions.

March 15

Today I make a personal practice of nonviolence
What I say and do expresses what is in my thoughts, not as I wish they were, but how they really are. This day, I commit to practice nonviolence in my thoughts, words and actions. Throughout the day, I notice that I am self-critical or that I judge others harshly. I notice that I abuse my body temple. I notice that no matter how I try, I still participate in abusing Mother Earth. The opportunity to make a personal practice of nonviolence shows up in my thoughts, actions and words. However, I must first begin with my thoughts because they have the greatest impact on my words and actions. And my words and actions have the greatest impact on the world. Today, I make a personal practice of nonviolence.

Today I thank others for their peaceful words and actions
When I reflect on how blessed my life is by the words and actions of others, I am filled with gratitude. I think of the kindness others have shown me when I was feeling down; the love others have offered when I was incapable of loving myself; the gentle touch of a friend when I was hurting. All these blessings brought me peace. Today, I take action and express my gratitude to those who have given me the blessing of peace. Gratitude increases the good in our world and perpetuates the blessing of peace. Today I thank others for their peaceful words and actions, reminding them that they are a gift to me and to humankind. We are the hands and hearts of God. Our divinity shines through our peaceful words and actions. Today, I thank others and I thank God for the gift of their presence in my life.

Today I listen to peaceful music
John Lennon wrote: “All we are saying, is give peace a chance.” Today, I make time to listen to twenty minutes of peaceful music. During this time, I resonate to the sound and my whole body begins to relax, open up and enjoy. Peace courses throughout my being and love is expressed in my very cells. It is written: “Make me an instrument of Thy peace.” To feel the music of my own heart is to know God’s peace. I feel God singing me into expression this very moment. Music is the universal language of God that our souls most easily understand. As I listen to peaceful music, I more deeply understand my relationship with God. Today, as I take twenty minutes to listen to peaceful music, I become an instrument of God’s peace. Thank you, Holy One, for speaking to me of your peace in the music.

March 18

Today I sit in a peaceful environment
Whether sitting in the sunshine, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin, or sitting quietly during my lunch break, I allow the gift of Spirit to awaken my soul. As I relax in the Presence I am renewed and revitalized. It is in these peaceful moments when I forget the struggles and challenges of the day and become aware of God’s love. It is these peaceful moments that give me the strength to face the more hectic times. My serenity tank is full and I am once again prepared to gracefully engage in life. Sitting quietly brings me strength, courage and power. As I sit, God gently reminds me, “I am here, my child, rest in me.” It is in these peaceful moments that I hear the “Still Small Voice” calling me into a greater expression of Peace. Today, I take twenty minutes to sit in a peaceful environment and let God renew my mind.

March 19

Today I reclaim my inner peace
World peace begins with me — in my own inner peace, which emanates from the spirit of God within me. Today, I take twenty minutes to consciously connect with the source of divine peace which calms all turmoil in me, in my life, and in the world. I am reminded of divine peace by many blessings in my world — the tranquility of a sunrise or sunset; the beauty of a tree; the soothing sounds of a river; the mesmerizing ocean waves; the quiet strength of a mountain; the magnificence of the stars; the sacred prayer in music. I know that I am one with God and with all of creation. World peace begins with me. Today, I make twenty minutes to reclaim my inner peace, that I might more gracefully radiate peace to all of creation.
